Overseeing CSC is a time consuming position, and we had to leverage other program directors to help fill in gaps - events & venue, registration, catering, speakers, volunteers, etc. This put additional effort on other director's plate.


My focus will be to recruit additional deputy director to volunteer solely for the conference duties so that we are not having to leverage other program directors for help. With an additional deputy director, we can delegate some of the more time consuming duties like coordinating all speakers, and assisting Marius with sponsorship communication.


My other focus will be to continue improving the conference. Each year, we need to ensure that our sponsorship #'s and attendee #'s grow, and we drive that through ensuring the conference has great content for CISOs and security professionals. With my 12 years in the industry, I've developed strong relationships with the CISO community - they are willing to participate in CSC and offer ideas+feedback for good content. Good content drives quality attendees and quality attendees drive sponsorships.

I have volunteered for several years with the ISC2 Security Congress as a volunteer and as an Ambassador with the volunteer team.. The Ambassador role was an expanded role that included promoting the conference for several weeks prior to the conference dates, as well as helping ISC2 staff and mentoring newer volunteers.  I also was on the ISC2 North America Event Advisory Committee, and assisted with planning for 2023 SecureDC.  Now I feel it is time to get more involved with ISSA on the local level.

I've served on the board for the last six months and focused on growing the Lunch and Learn program in that time. Along with the rest of the events team, I've been apart of hosting a successful event 3 times and would love to continue in this role.

Event management and coordination comes naturally to me as I am highly dedicated to roles I take on and ensure complete devotion to achieve the objectives. I am confident my experiences align well with the needs of ISSA's Deputy Director role, ensuring smooth event coordination, sponsorship collaboration, and stakeholder management.

I have served on the NTXISSA Board during all of 2024 as a Deputy-at-Large, and assisted principally with Venture Crew, including the 40-hour CyberCamp 2024 from June 24 to 28, 2024, and at weekly in-person meetings. I have already passed the background check and undergone the training, and am an approved Leader at BSA (Boy Scouts of America).

Technical leader with 20+ years in IT, networking, and cybersecurity. Runs a cybersecurity-focused startup delivering blue team services, security audits, and pen testing, with a commitment to closing the cybersecurity talent gap.

I was a technical leader in Cisco in my last job, overseeing over 500+ engineers. My main focus bringing the right culture and mentoring engineers to do the right thing for our customers.  Also made some college visits etc.
