With over 20 years of experience in information technology compliance, auditing, and management, I am a passionate and proactive compliance leader who helps customers and prospects understand and meet various regulatory requirements. I consult with clients on PCI, SOC, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO, and GDPR regulations. I also manage relationships with customers facing audit events, train and support sales and solution consultant staff, and leverage my subject matter expertise in these domains. As the Secretary Board of Directors at NTX ISSA, I support the organization's mission, vision, and values, and coordinate the board's activities and communications. I hold the ITIL Foundations v3 and MCSE certifications, and I am a Certified Common Security Framework Practitioner. I enjoy conducting security assessments, performing risk analyses, evaluating infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with standards. I am always eager to learn new processes, take on new challenges, and motivate others to perform at a high level.

I have been in Tech for more than 25 years. I have a PhD in computer science. Currently, I focus mostly on cloud native security, containers and Kubernetes security.  I am an active member of CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) and regular attendee at OWASP conference. I intended to get more involved with cybersecurity conferences like DefCon, BlackHat etc. I would like to get more involved with my local ISSA chapter to help it grow and also act as mentors to interested members. As a career, I'm mostly consulting and training on Cloud Native security and DevOps.

Prior to these roles, I served for over a decade as a senior Executive for Intrusion, Inc. (formerly ODS Networks), enterprise security and networking provider based in Richardson TX. As Vice President of International Operations, I developed, managed and directed international sales and marketing operations throughout EMEA and Asia. As VP of Technology Strategic Solutions/Chief Information Officer, Anthony Williams is responsible for creating strategic IT initiatives that align with MR2 Solutions 2024 roadmap, business culture, and long-term goals. In addition, he works closely across the organization's community to deliver innovative programs and services that enhance business transformation.


Anthony has been in IT for more than 20 plus years, with 10 of those years focused on security.


Previously, he was the VP of Information Technology and Facilities/Information Security Officer. In this role, he oversaw Information Technology Services, which provides, operates, and maintains computing and telecommunication facilities, equipment, and services that meet the needs of the clinical, research, and administrative IT initiatives.


Anthony is currently engaged to Latrice Lavender, the father of four children and a grandfather of three, who does a fantastic job keeping him busy and significantly involved in technology. Jacen earned his BS in Computer Engineering from the University of North Texas where he lead a team of students in a project to optimize IPv6 address assignments in networks located in space for NASA. He went on to work for Goldman Sachs' Technology Risk team, followed by joining the Cyber, Risk, & Regulatory department’s Strategy, Risk, Compliance team at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Jacen currently works for Trinity, a large heavy manufacturing company, where he stood up and operates their first vulnerability management program including on-prem, cloud, webapp, and other assessments.

I currently mentor 4 junior analysts for 2hrs every other week and am a mentee in a formal professional mentorship program. I concurrently managed 3 teams of 6 for an audit response. I am building a volunteer red team for the South West region of the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition.

Peter S. Vogel is a lawyer at VOGEL IT LAW aka Peter S. Vogel, PC.  Before practicing law he worked as a computer programmer, received a Master’s in Computer Science, and taught graduate courses in information systems.   Peter has negotiated hundreds of IT, eCommerce, and Cybersecurity contracts and had trials around the US on failed, software implementations, misappropriation of trade secrets, copyright infringement, software patent infringement, and eCommerce Internet disputes.  For more than 30 years Peter has been an Arbitrator and Mediator with the American Arbitration Association, and a Tech List Member of the Silicon Valley Arbitration & Mediation Center. Currently Peter serves on the State Bar of Texas AI Work Group, For 12 years Peter served as the Founding Chair of the Texas Supreme Court Judicial Committee on Information Technology which is responsible for helping automate the Texas court system and creating the Texas eFiling System. Peter has taught courses at the SMU Dedman School of Law for more than 25 years including courses on eDiscovery and the Law of eCommerce. Prior to joining the Information Security team at State Farm, Alena was a university professor and a researcher in the field of agribusiness. During her 8-year career at State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company,  she has worked as a governance, risk and compliance analyst, helped build internal training programs for cybersecurity professionals, and is currently working on maturing cyber threat intelligence capability within State Farm's vulnerability management program. Alena is passionate about developing people, she is a life-long learner and a dedicated mentor to the new generation of cybersecurity leaders. In addition to her full-time job as a threat intelligence analyst, she is an adjunct professor of cybersecurity at Collin College.

I continue to promote the student subchapters model across ISSA chapters and have had several conversations with board members from other chapters who reached out for tips and advice on how they can increase student engagement in their chapters.

My IT career began in 2009 at AT&T on the networking side and has grown and flourished because of wonderful organizations like this that enabled me to meet others to network and learn new things in an ever evolving field.  I would love the opportunity to give back as well as honored to serve on the board of North Texas ISSA.

I’m a Senior ISSA member.  I am a CISSP and HCISPP.  This is my second stint on the board; I’ve held roles such as President, Vice President, secretary, and I’ve handled recruitment of new chapter members. 

 

Currently I’m the Director for the Venturing Crew of the chapter.  I’m also the Crew Advisor (similar to Scoutmaster) and I am seeking re election to the Crew Director role.

With nearly 20 years of combined IT and InfoSec experience, I am a Cybersecurity Engineer at Spin Systems Inc. providing application security, compliance, and access management support for DoD clients. Since 2017 I have served as Co-owner and Vice President of Nation Tours, Inc. and scaled the company from a single office into 12 cities across the country. While serving in the US Army, I was supervisor of 2 Network Operation Centers within North Carolina and South Korea and was shop foreman of the USASOC PSYOP Electronic Maintenance Facility. I enjoy working with a diverse and collaborative team of experts who share my passion for technology, continuous learning, and supporting fellow Veterans.

Active member within NTX ISSA events as well as many other associations such as Visit Dallas and the Dallas Regional Chamber. I have hosted IT Factor talks to Collin College students looking to break into the IT/Cybersecurity field and serve as a Veteran advocate and mentor.

I am an accomplished Security Architect with over 25 years of IT and Cybersecurity experience, with RTX, Inc. in Richardson. I am also a part-time non-traditional student in the CyberBAT program at Collin College, active with the Collin ISSA chapter since 2021. My wife Tiffany and I live in Sachse, Texas, with our four children.

I have prior experience supporting non-profit organizations, advising student organizations, serving through volunteer work in multiple organizations, and have coordinated events and conferences in the past.

My plan is to support the Events Executive Director and the Event Coordinators by creating process documentation around the incredible work the Director has done, so that the event planning knowledge and processes can be scaled effectively to a team of coordinators. I also intend to support the CSC 12 event, mentor early-career members, and seek other opportunities to serve.

Dustin has over 25 years of experience in cyber security experience, ranging across a broad spectrum of security domains.  Dustin has managed P&Ls, lead organizations as large as 200 individuals and worked for numerous global 1000 organizations.  For the past couple of years Dustin has been working as an independent contractor, delivering virtual CISO and cyber security consulting services.

Bill White is an Information Security professional with more than 30 years’ experience in IT, Fraud investigation, Information Security, and Risk. He is a senior member of the team responsible for Information Security architecture at a Fortune 50 company. He started his career as a bench technician while learning his way up to Information Security leadership. Bill is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC) and a GIAC Certified Python Coder. (GPYC).
