Panel Discussion: What is Ethics:

Featuring

Pablo Romera, Solution Advisor at LAM Technology,
Paola Saibene, Principal at Teknion USA
Peter Vogel, OF Counsel at Foley & Lardner
MODERATOR: Steve Mleziva, Board Member & Events Director at North Texas ISSA

This esteemed panel will provide their input on a variety of ethics-related issues such as:

  • The role of data monetization in cyber security
  • The ethics of censorship in business and its consequences on innovation
  • Contract Terms & Click-Through Agreements
  • A judges knowledge of cyber risk
  • GDRP & Other Privacy Laws

Ethics comes from the ancient Greek ēthikós (ἠθικός) which, unbeknownst to most, means “habit”, interpreted as the practice of deciding what is right, and what is wrong. And since habits are typically subject to change, how do we determine which habits are right or wrong?  The intent of this panel is to help provide the leaders in the audience with the potential framework and structure to be able to respectfully and understandably have the ethics and compliance conversation to ensure no one is left behind as it pertains to risk management, which counterintuitively to the word “risk”, should be an organization’s greatest asset.
