Jacen Kohler received his BS in Computer Engineering from the University of North Texas and is currently an MBA candidate.
While studying at UNT, he was president of the student cybersecurity club, led a capstone senior design team doing research for NASA to develop an IP addressing scheme for high ping networks of spacecraft, and interned at Goldman Sachs (GS).
After graduating, Jacen went to work full time for GS, running their global social engineering program and supervising approvals of all new applications with data leaving the firm's network.
He then became a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he helped clients from a variety of industry verticals to implement cyber and information security programs such as threat & vulnerability management programs, security communication plans, and customer data encryption programs.
Jacen currently works as the Attack Surface Management Program Manager at a large critical infrastructure manufacturer within the transportation industry.
When not at work, Jacen fills his time volunteering on the North Texas chapter of the Information System Security Association, Red Team lead for the Southwest region Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition, and a Co-Lead for the local DefCon Group 214.
