Hall of Fame is a lifetime achievement award recognizing an individual's exceptional qualities of leadership in their own career and organization as well as an exemplary commitment to the information security profession. Candidates are not required to be ISSA members.
Nominations may be made by any member in good standing.
Members may not self-nominate or mutually cross-nominate
Current members of the International Board of Directors may not nominate other current Board members
Current members of the Chapter Board of Directors may not nominate other current chapter Board members.
The Awards Committee may also nominate additional qualified candidates
Timely posthumous nominations are encouraged within three (3) years of the nominee's passing.
Any current members of the International Board of Directors or Awards Committee associated with any nominee must recuse themselves for the review process for the candidate.
Hall of Fame is a prestigious industry award, and not a method to honor board or chapter officers or members for service to North Texas ISSA or ISSA International.
Each nominator is limited to one Hall of Fame Award nomination.
Nominees are evaluated as outlined in the Nomination Form
To be Considered:
Nominees must have a minimum of ten (10) years in the information systems security field.
The breadth and scope of the individual’s current and past contributions must be significant to the information systems security industry and profession. Their contributions are expected to have demonstrated influence and recognition across multiple industries, verticals, or nations.
Candidates must be recognized for technology invented or contributions to the field in research, academics, or government services beyond borders, with documented, ongoing use or growth of the technology or knowledge provided.
Global diversity in nominations is encouraged but nominating material may be requested to be translated into English to support the nomination.
ISSA membership is not required.
Honoree Receives:
An award to display in their office or home.
A North Texas ISSA Hall of Fame magnetic lapel pin.
An invitation to receive their award at a public ceremony.
Listing on the chapter’s website.
North Texas ISSA Hall of Fame digital credential (e.g., badge) for their personal use.
The nominees and eventual winner of the North Texas ISSA Hall of Fame Award will be forwarded for consideration in the ISSA International Hall of Fame Award.
